It's been quite hard to write anything for the past week or so. Traveling with Basio and Zyndal in the deserts of Africa has been quite a journey. I should be home by Wednesday with several notebooks filled with new musical ideas.....Davutus

In the Tower
Basio had gone ahead of us, dressed as one of the guards. Zyndal and I had decided to accompany the Princess Laranee in making her way up the stairs inside the tower. Since it held only two of the political enemies of the King, the few guards were occupied elsewhere. Her beloved, Shen, for daring to love a princess, was to be exiled for life. Desperately hoping to free him, she had begged our help at the banquet. How could we say, "no"? If caught, we would pay with our lives, but hope was on our side.........Davutus

Firelight Memories
On our last evening in the Kingdom of Corvalles, Basio, Zyndal and I sat before the fire sipping from our cups of tea. Having just escaped from the clutches of the guards of Davan, we were understandably anxious to return home. Our campsite lay in the shadow of the Rocks of Rancedo so there was no chance that the firelight would be seen from a distance. We began to speak about our adventures and the events of the past week. As the comforting warmth filled us, we spoke of things near to our hearts, as friends will do in the gentle evening. May this music comfort you also.......Davutus

A View From The Hills
I have kept detailed notes concerning the various journeys that Basio, Zyndal and I have taken. This particular track was written after our excursion to the Lake District of Scotland. We had traveled on the Ravenglass Railway and marveled at the beauty that surrounded us. Sitting aboard the Windermere Ferry with the green valleys stretched before us, I began to sketch out the melody that would eventually blossom into this track of music. We hope to return to that magical land, but in the meantime, this piece of music serves as a souvenir of our journey..........Davutus
